The obituary of Mrs. Francis Hacker Officiating Ministers: Rev. James Bowling, Jr., Pastor Steve Springer & Rev. Jim Smith Mrs. Francis Hacker born July 15, 1924 departed this life on Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Hyden Health Care and Rehab Center, Hyden, Ky. She was 88 years old. Francis was born in Leslie Co., Ky., the daughter of the late Bige Smith & Elizabeth Napier Smith. Francis was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., with the exception of living in Ohio for 25 years. She retired from housekeeping in the motel industry. Francis was a devoted member of the Stinnett Penetecostal Church. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, traveling and most importantly being involved in the lives of her family. Mrs. Francis Hacker was preceded in death by her parents: Bige Smith & Elizabeth Napier Smith; one daughter: Ruby Gail Hacker, two granddaughters: Donna K. Jones and Michelle Hacker, Brothers: Troy, Daniel, Pearl & Rufus Smith & son-in-law: James 'Buck' Roberts. Mrs. Francis Hacker leaves the following relatives surviving :her loving and devoted husband of over 70 years: Ray Hacker of Stinnett, Ky., four sons: Paul Hacker of Ohio, Bill Hacker & wife, Louise of Stinnett, Ky., Merle Hacker & wife, Margaret, of Hyden, KY. Larry Wayne Hacker of Stinnett, Ky. & one daughter: JoAnne Roberts of Stinnett, Ky., grandchildren: James, Scott, James Roberts, Patty, Lisa, Michael, Tammy, Candy Jo, Cody, & Paul, Jr., 16 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren, and host of other treasured relatives and friends. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to their cousin, Mrs. Ruth Hacker Napier. The funeral service for Mrs. Francis Hacker will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. - Tuesday - August 21, 2012 a the Stinnett Pentecostal Church with Rev. James Bowling, Jr., Pastor Steve Springer, & Rev. Jim Smith. The interment will follow in the Hacker Family Cemetery located at Stinnett, Ky. The visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. - Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church.
