She passed away on March 11, 2011 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, KY. at the age of 80 years, 1 month & 7 days. She was a former resident of Michigan & had been living at Wooton, Ky. for the past 36 years. By occupation she was a former factory employee for Post Cereal Co. in Battle Creek, Michigan & also a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of God in Christ Jesus at (Beatty Branch), Wooton, Ky. She enjoyed crocheting, attending Senior Citizens & visiting Mountain Mission. Doris Ruth Baker was preceded in death by her parents: Charlie & Celia Wood White; Husband: Aubrey Baker; Brother: Jimmy White; Sisters: Freda & Betty; Son: Ron; Father-In-Law & Mother-In-Law: James B. & Offie Smith Baker. She leaves the following relatives surviving: Son: Charles Trammell & Sue of Battle Creek, Michigan; Grandchildren: Ronnie Carpenter, Mark Carpenter, Neal Johnson, Rane Trammell & Josh Trammell. Also a host of treasured nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great nephews survive. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 14, 2011 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Lewis officiating. The interment will follow in the Jim Baker Family Cemetery at (Beatty Branch), Wooton, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Larry Baker, Thomas Baker, Bryan Gross, Brandon Baker, Michael Baker & Jason Shepherd. The following will serve as Honorary Pallbearers: Ronnie Carpenter, Mark Carpenter, Wayne Baker, Derrick Baker, Jerome Baker, Josh Baker, Jesse Baker, Jacob Baker & Adam Baker.
