The obituary of Mrs. Helen Belt Officiating Ministers: Tommy Lowe Mrs. Helen Belt born February 2, 1929 departed this life on December 12, 2009 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center, Hazard, Ky. She was 80 years old. Helen was born at Hyden, Ky., the daughter of the late Jake Bronstema & Stella Williams. Helen was a homemaker & was affiliated with the Church of Christ. She enjoyed walking as a hobby. Helen was a life-long resident of Leslie County. Mrs. Helen Belt was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Helen Belt leaves the following relatives surviving: four sons: Harold Belt and wife, Dolores of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, James Donnie Belt of Wooton, Ky., Larry Belt of Wooton, Ky., Kenneth Belt of Hazard, Ky., three daughters: Thelma Causey & husband, Jimmy, of Hyden, Ky., Shirley Williams of Hazard, Ky., Lisa Belt of Hyden, Ky., 16 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren & other treasured relatives and friends. The funeral service for Mrs. Helen Belt will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. - Tuesday - December 15, 2009 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel, Hyden, Ky., with Tommy Lowe officiating. The interment will follow in the Hurricane Cemetery under the direction of Dwayne Walker Funeral Home. Friends may call for visitation from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. - Monday - December 14, 2009 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home.
