John McGraw Mrs. Goldie Morgan born May 6, 1921 departed this life on April 6, 2010 at the age of 88 years, 11 months and 0 days old. She was born at Combs, Kentucky the daughter of the late George Begley and the late Margaret Sizemore Begley. By occupation Goldie was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, Kentucky. She enjoyed quilting, flower gardening, cooking and banjo playing. Mrs. Goldie Morgan had been a member of the Muncy Creek Baptist Church since May 12, 1992. Goldie was good natured, had a good sense of humor, & was always loving, caring, & easy going. She loved to visit with friends and family and was a great grandmother who loved to play with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents: George and Margaret Begley, Husband: Roy Morgan, Four Sisters: Mittie Lyons, Grace baker, Edna Morris, Elizabeth Asher, three brothers: Jimmy Begley, Theo Begley & Rutherford Begley. She leaves surviving the following relatives: Two Sons: Tommy Begley & Cassie of Hyden,Ky and Bill Morgan & Barbara of Somerset, Ky. Four Daughters: Pat & James Asher of Wooton, Ky, Betty & Damon Huff of Hyden, Ky, Wilma & Doug Cornett of Brandenburg, Ky. and Lana & Monte Owens of Danville, Ky., 12 Grandchildren: Tina Morgan, Melissa Guier,Tommy Wayne Begley, Debbie Begley, Jeanna Turner, Whitney Kupper, Andrea Little, Damonica Partin, Kevin Huff, Charles Hoskins, Monte Ryan Owens and Morgan Nicole Owens. Also survived by 16 Great Grandchildren and a host of other treasured relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Goldie Virginia Begley Morgan will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John McGraw officiating. Friends may call for visitation from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the funeral home.
