Hershel Belcher Mrs. Pruda Smith North was born on December 20, 1907 and departed this life on June 8, 2010 at the Mary Breckenridge Hospital in Hyden, KY. at the age of 102 years. She was the daughter of the late Frank Smith & the late Dellia Simpson Smith. She was a lifelong resident of Leslie County and was a homemaker by occupation. She was a member of the Muncy Creek Holiness at Stinnett, KY. and enjoyed gardening as a hobby. Pruda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Marshall Teddy North and son: Marshall North, Jr. She leaves the following relatives surviving: four sons: Clayborne North & Daisy, Bradley North, Larry North and Douglas North & Marlene all of Stinnett, KY.; six daughters: Delia Caldwell of Stinnett, KY., Martha Gibson & Odis of Oneida, KY., Polly Tolson of Stinnett, KY., Lola Taylor & Donnie of Stinnett, KY., Wanda Faye Hacker & Robert Lee of Stinnett, KY. and Edith Caldwell & Doug of Helton, KY.; 31 Grandchildren; 56 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great-Great Grandchildren; Special Friend: Alene Pace Bowling and Care Giver: Patricia Smith. Funeral services for Mrs. Pruda Smith North will be conducted on Friday - June 11, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Muncy Creek Holiness Church at Stinnett, KY. with Rev. Steven Hacker, Rev. Verlan Madden, Rev. Hiram Jent and Rev. Hershel Belcher officiating. Burial will follow the funeral services at the North Family Cemetery at Stinnett, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Blake Taylor, Rev. Steven Hacker, Marshall Wells, Neal Caldwell, Marshall Clay North, Dan Haggerty, Doug North and Robert Dwayne Hacker. Visitation will be held on Wednesday - June 9, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel and Thursday - June 10, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at the Church.
