Micky Roberts Mr. Roy Leon Morgan was born on February 28, 1935 at Stinnett, KY. and passed away on June 20, 2011 at his residence in New Orleans, LA. He was 76 years, 3 months and 22 days old at the time of his passing. Roy was the son of the late Hughie Morgan and Winnie Collett Morgan. Roy honorably served in the U.S. Army. He was a resident of New Orleans, LA. for 34 years and formerly resided in Stinnett, KY. He is Preceded in Death by: Parents: Hughie & Winnie Collett Morgan; Son: Darrell Lee Morgan. Roy leaves the following relatives surviving: Sons: Timothy Leon Morgan and Roy Leon Morgan, Jr. of Florida; Daughters: Terry Lynn Asher of Indianapolis, IN., Charlotte Morgan of KY., Caroline Morgan of Dayton, OH. and Carolyn Morgan of Dayton, OH.; Brother: Cornelius Morgan & Eileen of Hyden, KY.; Sister: Marjorie Fern & Melvin Baker of Dayton, OH.; 16 Grandchildren & 15 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Roy Leon Morgan will be conducted 2:00 P.M. -Sunday - June 26, 2011 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Micky Roberts officiating. The interment will follow in the Lee Morgan Family Cemetery in Stinnett, KY. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral at 2:00 P.M. Sunday - June 26, 2011 at the funeral home.
