She was 71 years, 4 months, and 18 days old. Ruby was born at Helton, Ky., the daughter of the late Isaac Simpson & Laura Muncy Simpson. She was a homemaker and member of the Lower Beechfork United Methodist Church, Mozelle, Ky. Ruby enjoyed reading and sewing as hobbies. She was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., residing at 68 Stone Coal Branch Rd., Mozelle, Ky., at the time of her death. Mrs. Ruby Simpson Howard was preceded in death by her parents: Isaac Simpson and Laura Howard Simpson. Mrs. Ruby Simpson Howard leaves the following relatives surviving: husband: Earl Howard of Mozelle, Ky.,one son: John Jeffery Roark and wife, Londa, of Baxter, Ky., two daughters: Regina Earline Brock and husband, John of Mozelle, Ky., Sheila Hall and husband, Roy Lee of Mozelle, Ky., 7 Grandchildren: Lisa, Misty, Brandy, Tyler, Jessica, Rebekah, Andrew, 5 Great, Grandchildren: Whitney, Laura, Kelly, Isaac, Peyton, & a host of treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends to mourn her death. The funeral service for Mrs. Ruby Simpson Howard will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. - Sunday - July 13, 2008 at the Lower Beechfork United Methodist Church, Mozelle, Ky., with Pastor Steve Springer officiating. The interment will follow in the Howard Cemetery, Mozelle, Ky., under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home staff. Friends may call for visitation after 6:00 p.m.- Saturday - July 12, 2008 at the Lower Beechfork United Methodist Church, Mozelle, Ky.
