The Obituary of Mrs. Sancie Ruth Bowling Officiating Ministers: Danny Day, Bobby Jones and Harold Turner Mrs. Sancie Ruth Bowling was born on August 9, 1932 in Smilax, KY. and passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013 at the Albert Chandler University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY. She was 80 years of age at the time of her passing. Sancie was the Daughter of the late Oley Williams and the late Mollie Garrison. By occupation she was a Homemaker and was a lifelong resident of Leslie County. Sancie was a member of the Smilax Church of Christ and enjoyed quilting, flower gardening and cooking as hobbies. She was Preceded in Death by her: Parents: Oley Williams & Mollie Garrison Williams; Beloved Husband: John Bowling; Brother: Jack Williams; Sisters: Darcus Williams, Eula Wells and Elsie Wells. Sancie leaves the following relatives surviving: Son: Earl Bowling & Helen of Busy, KY.; Daughters: Dorothy Pennington & William Isaac of Smilax, KY., Wilma Fields & Gillis Jr. of Smilax, KY. and Charlene Wilson & Ronnie of Helton, KY.; Brothers: Kenneth Williams & Kay of Smilax, KY., Donald Williams of Smilax, KY., Benjamin Williams of Bastrop, TX., Oley Williams, Jr. & Gwen of Somerset, KY.; Sisters: Geneva Boggs & Willie of Smilax, KY. and Ola Faye Stepson of Tampa, FL.; Grandchildren: Pam Bowling & Eric, Dianna Jones & Bobby, Vanessa Sizemore & Jimmy Darrell, Rodney Pennington & Norma, John Fields & Teresa, Sabrina Wells & Freddie, Brandon Fields, Chris Fields & Tina, Kaylee Fields & Lance Turner, Miranda Bowling, Ronald Blaine Wilson and Vinson Grigsey; 15 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandchild. Funeral services for Mrs. Sancie Ruth Bowling will be conducted on Thursday ~ May 30, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home with Danny Day, Bobby Jones and Harold Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the John Bowling Cemetery ~ Smilax, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Rodney Pennington, John Fields, Chris Fields, Jarred Fields, Brandon Fields, Glenn Boggs, Rick Boggs, Dillion Bowling, Josh Jones and Lance Turner.
