The obituary for Mr. Darrell Allen Collett Officiating Ministers: Rev. Leroy Blackburn, Rev. Ralph Brown and Rev. Roscoe Roark Mr. Darrell Allen Collett was born on July 1, 1955 and departed this life on December 19, 2009 at the Pineville Community Hospital at the age of 54 years old. Darrell was the son of Willie Collett and the late Loshia Collett. Darrell was a lifelong resident of Leslie County. By occupation he was a mechanic for Ernest Collett Trucking. He was a member of the Bowens Creek United Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and camping. Mr. Darrell Allen Collett was preceded in death by his mother; one son: Rex Allen Collett; two brothers: Hargis & Bruce Collett. He leaves the following relatives surviving: father: Willie Collett & step-mother Laura of Essie, KY.; wife: Jessie "Chloe" Collett of Essie, KY.; son: Hargis Collett of Essie, KY.; daughters: Joann Feltner & Aaron of Wooton, KY., Lucy Roark & Lance of Barbourville, KY. and Bessie Gail Collett of Flat Lick, KY.; brothers: Harold, Lloyd, Anthony and William Collett; special friend: Doug Couch; grandchildren: Jesse Brock, James Brock, Travis Roark, Michael Brock, Dillon Roark, Daniel Bond, Breanna Bond and Janie Feltner; great grandchilren: Brian Roark and Amanda Roark. Funeral services for Mr. Darrell Allen Collett will be conducted on Thursday - December 24, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Bowens Creek United Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Collett Cemetery at Essie, KY. Friends may call for visitation after 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday - December 23, 2009 at the Church. The following will serve as pallbearers: Hargis Collett, Jessie Brock, James Brock, Michael Brock, Dillon Roark, Travis Roark and Jesse Lee Collett.
