He was born at Hyden, Kentucky the son of Della M. Roberts and the late Justin Wayne Collett. By occupation he worked for the railroad and was employed by the Hertzy Company. Jason enjoyed 4 wheeling, turkey and deer hunting and shooting guns. He was affiliated with the Community Holiness Church at Warbranch, and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. He was preceded in death by his father: Justin Wayne Collett and his daddy: Joseph David Roberts, maternal grandfather: Charlie Brown. He leaves surviving the following relatives: mother: Della M. Roberts of Stinnett, KY, sister: Jessica Nicole Roberts and Brad Pennington of Stinnett, KY, maternal grandmother: Della Brown of Stinnett, KY. He also leaves surviving a host of other treasured relatives and friends. Funeral services for Charles Jason Collett will be held at 1:00 p.m. - Friday, February 13, 2009 at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church at Essie, Kentucky with James Bowling, Jr., Ralph Brown and Trent Brock officiating. Burial will follow in the Charlie Brown Family Cemetery at Stinnett, KY. The following will serve as pallbearers: Vincent Morgan, Eric Whitehead, Michael King, Brad Pennington, Shannon Banks, Wesley Shepherd and Scottie Simpson.
