Ernest Rice of Austin,IN. was born in Saul, KY on January 17, 1926. And departed this life Sunday ~ July 24th, 2011 in Riverview, FL. at the age of 85. Mr. Rice was the son of the late Grandville and Milda Spurlock Rice. He was a member on the Third Street Pentecostal Church of God in Austin, IN. He was Preceded in Death by: Parents: Grandville and Milda Rice. Daughter: Maxine; Brothers: William, Simmon, Cirt, and Herman; Sisters: Rose, Euna, Ollie and Hannah. The following relatives survive: His Wife: Thelma Hensley Rice of Austin, IN., Daughters: Pauline Harris of Riverview, FL., Kathleen Person of Tampa, FL., Sons: Stanley Rice of Tampa, FL., Chester Rice of Savannah, GA., Lester Rice of Tampa, FL. Ernest E. Rice of Savannah, GA., Brothers: Clifton Rice of Austin, IN., L.C. Rice of Saul, KY., Paul Rice oF Austin, IN., Robertson Rice of Austin, IN. He also is survived by 6 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Service will be at the Mt. Paran Baptist Church in Saul, KY on Saturday July 30th at 1:30 P.M. Burial will follow at the Grandville Rice Cemetery in Saul, KY. Military Rights will be observed at the Cemetery by the Leslie County D.A.V Chapter # 133.
