The Obituary of Mr. George K. Pennington Officiating Ministers: Rev. David Pennington, Rev. Ralph Brown, & Rev.Cova Asher Mr. George K. Pennington born December 28, 1938 departed this life on May 10, 2008 at the Hazard A.R.H.Medical Center. He was 69 years, 4 months, and 12 days old. George was born at Hoskinston, Ky., the son of the late Lee Pennington & Ollie Joseph Pennington. George was a retired coal miner and a member of the Muncy's Creek Holiness Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, & gardening as hobbies. George was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., residing at 231 Lower Bad Creek Road, Hoskinston, Ky. at the time of his death. George was preceded in death by his wife, Vernice W. Pennington, his parents, Lee & Ollie Joseph Pennington, three brothers, Elmer, Hamp, & Elisha Pennington, one sister, Eva Mosley, and one granddaughter, Cassundra Pennington. Mr. George K. Pennington leaves the following relatives surviving: three sons, Kenneth Pennington & Deidre of Hoskinston, Ky., Otis Pennington & Linda of Hyden, Ky., Ricky Pennington & Angie Collett of Hoskinston, Ky., one daughter: Sue Pennington & Darrell Bowling of Hyden, Ky., two brothers: Denver Pennington & Homer Pennington, both of Hoskinston, Ky., two sisters, Rose Mary Pennington of Ohio, Shirley Pennington of Stinnett, Ky.,six grandchildren: Joseph Morgan & Brittany, Wanona Rice & Dustin, Roger & Ann Asher, Christoper Pennington, Jacob Penninton, Leigh Pennington, and one great granddaughter, Nelisha Rice. The funeral service for Mr. George K. Pennington will be conducted at 2:00 p.m.- Tuesday - May 13, 2008 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Pennington & Rev. Ralph Brown officiating. The interment will follow in the Pennington Family Cemetery, located at Hoskinston, Ky., under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home staff. Friends may call for visitation after 6:00 P.M.
