Phillip Bell Bessie Asher Brock was born on October 11,1924 in Leslie Co., Ky., the daughter of the late Farmer & Renda Asher. Bessie passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, Ky. at the age of 85 years, 4 months & 7 days. She was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., she was a member of the Upper Beechfork United Methodist Church at Helton. Bessie enjoyed caring for her beloved late husband, George Brock, gardening & cooking. Bessie Asher Brock was preceded in death by her parents: Farmer & Renda Asher, her husband: George Brock, one son: Whitt Brock & one daughter: Mossie Brock. She leaves the following relatives surviving: four sons: Caudle Brock of Helton, Ky., Jack Brock of Helton, Ky., George Brock, Jr. of Helton, Ky. & Larry Dean Brock of Helton, KY., four daughters: Cynthia Smith & Larry J. of Helton, Ky., Irene Joseph & Elvin of Knoxville, Tennessee, Christine Farler & Robin of Hyden, Ky. & Patricia Childers & Tadge of Hindman, KY., six grandchildren: John Edward Brock, Jack Brock, Jr., Heather Marie Smith, Becky Brock, Casey Brock & Tessa Farler & one Great-Granddaughter: Meghan Brock. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive. Funeral service for Bessie Brock will be conducted on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel, Hyden, KY., with Rev. Reed Brock & Rev. Phillip Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the Brock Family Cemetery at Helton, KY.
