The Obituary of Mrs. Bertha Gibson Begley Officiating Minister: Rev. James Bowling, Jr. Mrs. Bertha Gibson Begley was born on June 18, 1926 in Hyden, KY. and departed this life on Wednesday - January 16, 2013 at the Hyden Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was 86 years of age at the time of her passing. Bertha was the Daughter of the late Dave Gibson and the late Sallie West Gibson and was the Wife of the late Bergin Begley. By occupation Bertha was a Homemaker and an Elementary School Cook. She was a lifelong resident of Leslie County and enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening as hobbies. She was Preceded in Death by her: Parents: Dave & Sallie West Gibson; Husband: Bergin Begley; Daughter: Lillie Mae Begley; Sons: James and Gran Begley. Bertha leaves the following relatives surviving: Sons: Kenneth Begley & Sharon of Amelia, OH. and Curt Begley of West Liberty, KY.; Daughters: Christine Wilson & Steve of Amelia, OH. and Jean Hoskins of Hyden, KY.; Sisters: Allie Norton of Dayton, KY. and Laura Hamm of Norwood, OH.; 15 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Gibson Begley will be conducted on Saturday ~ January 19, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home with Rev. James Bowling, Jr. officiating. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Keith Wilson, Tony Begley, Timothy Begley, Tommy Hoskins, Chase Hoskins, Steven Hoskins and Steve Wilson. Burial will follow in the Dave Gibson Cemetery in Hyden, KY. Visitation will be held on Friday ~ January 18, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home.
