The obituary of Mrs. Betty Napier Gross Officiating Ministers: Rev. Dan Griffiths and Rev. Geoffery Roberts Mrs. Betty Gross was born on November 19, 1948 and departed this life on Saturday ~ September 3, 2011 at the Hazard Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Ky. She was 62 years old. Betty was born at Hyden, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Berry & Cassie Napier. Betty was a devoted employee of the Hyden Nursing Home, having worked in housekeeping for over 14 years. Betty was affiliated with the Mozelle Church of God, Mozelle, Ky. & enjoyed singing & playing the guitar. Betty was Preceded in Death by her Parents & Husband: Willie Gross. Mrs. Betty Napier Gross leaves the following relatives surviving: one Brother: Larry E. Napier & Wife: Judith, of London, Ky.; two Nephews: Larry B. Napier & Daniel Jones; two Nieces: Lolita Christensen and Carol Napier. Also survived by a host of treasured cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral for Mrs. Betty Napier Gross will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. ~ Saturday ~ September 10, 2011 at the Beech Fork United Methodist Church, Helton, Ky., with Rev. Dan Griffiths & Rev. Geoffery Roberts officiating. The interment will follow in the Napier Family Cemetery, Helton, Ky. Friends may call for visitation from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M.
