The obituary of Mr. Harrison "Red" Colwell Officiating Minister: Donnie Melton Mr. Harrison "Red" Colwell born October 27, 1931 departed this life on February 12, 2010 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center, Hazard, Ky. He was 78 years, 3 months, & 15 days old. Harrison was born at Busy, Ky., the son of the late Morris Colwell and Lucy Wooton Colwell. Harrison was a member of the Lower Grassy Branch Church of Christ, Busy, Ky., & especially enjoyed the company of young children. He received great joy in wheeling children around in a wheel - barrow. Harrison was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., having lived with his treasured mother, Lucy until her death. Harrison was residing at 414 Pleasant Valley Road, Busy, Ky., at the time of his death. Mr. Harrison " Red" Colwell was preceded in death by his parents & three brothers: Roy, Paul, & Claude Colwell. Mr. Harrison "Red" Colwell leaves the following relatives surviving: Three brothers: French Colwell & wife, Henrietta, of Shepherdsville, Ky., Harvey Colwell of Thousandsticks, Ky., Ruie Colwell and wife, Dorothy, of Busy, Ky., three sisters: Ellen Borchman of Louisville, Ky., Lois Bell of Confluence, Ky., Loretta Lascalla and husband, Phil, of New Jersey, and a host of treasured nieces, nephews, and cousins. The funeral service for Mr. Harrison "Red" Colwell will be conducted at 12:00 Noon - Monday, February 15, 2010 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel, with Donnie Melton officiating. The interment will follow in the Colwell Family Cemetery, Busy, Ky., under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home. Friends may call for visitation after 6:00 p.m. - Sunday - February 14, 2010 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home.
