Mae Caudill Melton

The Obituary of Mrs. Mae Caudill Melton Officiating Minister: Rev. Roger Wolfe & Eddie Bowling Mrs. Mae Caudill Melton born December 26, 1914 departed this life on October 17, 2009 at the age of 94 years. She was born at Wooton, Kentucky the daughter of the late Cleveland Caudill and the late Laura Engle Caudill. By occupation she was a retired Private Duty Nurse and had worked in this field for 23 years. Mae enjoyed collecting and repairing dolls, flower gardening and antiques. She was a member of the Church of Christ and had been a resident of Leslie County for the past 20 years having moved here from Illinois and Florida. Mae was preceded in death by her parents: Cleveland and Laura Caudill; and by her husband: Marcus Melton. She leaves surviving the following relatives:two sons: Marcus Melton, Jr. & Maureen of Roscoe, IL, Ronald Melton & Lena of Lily, KY, seven daughters: Katie Francis Kennedy & Victor of Couerd Alene, Idaho, Vondrea Fansler of Basye, VA, Loretta Bowling of Wooton, KY. Sunny Joann Smith & Dallas of Wooton, KY, Peggy Wydra & Jack of Charlotte, NC, Donna Smith & Ronnie of Avawam, KY and Gwen Crutchfield of Veron Hills, IL. Mae is also survived by 36 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and a host of great great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Mae Caudill Melton will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday - October 20, 2009 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Wolfe & Eddie Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Brewer Cemetery located at Wooton, Kentucky under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Staff. The following serve as pallbearer: Jamie Smith, David Smith, Dallas Gene Smith, Robert Melton, Ronald Melton, Mike Melton, Gwen Bain, Marc Roberts and Ralph Warner.
