The obituary of Mr. Clayton Morgan Mr. Clayton Morgan born January 20, 1927 departed this life on October 17, 2009 at the Hazard Appalachain Regional Medical Center, Hazard, Ky. He was 82 years, 8 months, & 27 days old. Clayton was born at Wendover, Ky., the son of the late Kermit Morgan & Cordelia Cornett Morgan. Clayton served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retired coal miner & was affiliated with the Baptist Church. Clayton was an avid hunter & fisherman. He was a life - long resident of Leslie Co., residing at 403 Puncheon Camp Road at the time of his death. Clayton was preceded in death by his parents: Kermit Morgan & Cordelia Cornett Morgan. Mr. Clayton Morgan leaves the following relatives surviving: his loving & devoted wife of over 60 years: Sarah Ellen Morgan, two sisters: Helen Chaney of Hazard, Ky., & Rosie Parson of Dayton, Ohio,& a host of treasured nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn his death. The funeral service for Mr. Clayton Morgan will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. - Wednesday - October 21, 2009 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel, Hyden, Ky.,with Brother David Troxell officiating. The interment will follow in the Clayton Morgan Cemetery, Hyden, Ky., with full military rites performed by the Leslie Co. D.A.V. Chapter # 133.
