The Obituary of Daphne Pennington Officiating Minister: Mack Lewis Daphne Pennington was born on November 11, 1934 at Wendover, KY, the daughter of the late Dan Morgan & Cora Bailey Morgan. She passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin, KY. at the age of 78 years, 8 months & 3 days. She had been a resident of Corbin, KY. for the past 12 years coming from Leslie Co. She was a member of the Hurts Creek Church of Christ in Hyden, KY., She enjoyed quilting, gardening & watching television. Daphne was preceded in death by her parents, Dan & Cora Bailey Morgan, father of children, Jim Pennington, son, Jeff Pennington & a host of brothers & sisters. She leaves the following relatives surviving, sons, Danny Pennington & Edna of Manchester, KY. & James Pennington of Bulan, KY., daughters, Linda Caldwell of Corbin, KY. & Kathy Melton of Bulan, KY., brother, Argene Morgan of Vanceburg, KY., grandchildren, Brian, Gary Andrew, Jonathan Matthew, Bradley, Cody, Misty, Rodney, Randall & Velva, 17 great-grandchildren & 4 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home in Hyden, KY. with Mack Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Singleton Cemetery at Wendover, KY. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 6:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel.
