The obituary of Mr. Charles Leslie Shanks. Mr. Charles Leslie Shanks, age 51, of Allen, Texas passed away December 14, 2008. he was born June 25, 1957 in Leslie County, Kentucky to Mack Lewis and Vana (Nolan) Shanks. He is survived by by his wife, Kimberly Shanks of Allen, Texas, children, Heather Shanks and Brandon Shanks both of Allen, Texas; sister Mary Nell Howard and husband Jimmy, Effie Howard and Husband Lynn; brothers, Wayne Howard and Wife Rosie, Warren Fee, Robert Shanks and wife Sharon; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Vana Shanks; sister, Barbara Shanks Baker. Funeral services will be held a 4:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2008 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
