The Obituary for Lee Baker Officiating Ministers: Keith Bowling Earnest Roberts Lee Baker was born on August 17, 1919 and passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, Ky. Lee was born in Busy, Ky., the son of the late Green & Sarah Stidham Baker. He was a life-long resident of Leslie County, KY. Lee was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II & a retired coal miner. Mr. Lee Baker was a member of the Stinnett Church of Christ at Hoskinston, KY. Lee Baker was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Elizabeth Couch Baker, a son, John D. Baker & his wife, Patsy, 1 brother, Beecher Baker & 6 sisters, Alta Hoskins Howard, Nancy Ann Hoskins Morris, Nannie Baker Howard, Harriet Baker Lawhorn, Amy Baker Begley & Susie Baker Hatton He leaves the following relatives surviving: 4 sons, Lonis Baker & Carol of Hyden, Ky., David Lee Baker & Betty Gail of Stinnett, Ky., Robert Daniel Baker & Deborah of Asher, Ky. & Wayne Baker & Betty of Stinnett, Ky., 1 daughter, Norma Morgan & Wade of Hyden, Ky., 2 sisters, Martha Baker Stidham of Xenia, Ohio & Mary Baker Mosley of Hyden, Ky., 11 grandchildren & a host of great-grandchildren, also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive. Funeral services for Mr. Lee Baker will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the Stinnett Church of Christ at Hoskinston, KY with Keith Bowling and Earnest Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Baker Cemetery at Busy, KY under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Staff. Military Rites will be observed by the Leslie County DAV Chapter #133. Mr. Lee Baker's grandsons will serve as his pallbearers. Visitation will begin at 7:00 p.m. Monday - August 10, 2009 at the Stinnett Church of Christ.
