Adams was born on August 25, 1977 in Hyden, KY. and departed this life on July 10, 2012 at his residence at 744 Ledger Fork Rd. ~ Tyner, KY. James was 34 years of age at the time of his passing. He was the Son of Van & Ellen Adams. By occupation James was a former Electrician for Pike Electric. He has been a resident of Tyner, KY. for the past 8 years coming from Leslie County. James enjoyed hunting & fishing as hobbies and was affiliated with the Church of Christ. He was Preceded in Death by: Sister: Vanessa Kate Adams; Maternal Grandfather: James "Shorty" Howard; Paternal Grandparents: Coy Adams & Ellie Lewis Adams. James leaves the following relatives surviving: Parents: Van & Ellen Howard Adams of Tyner, KY.; Sons: James Mitchell Adams and Dylan Bert Adams both of Tyner, KY.; Maternal Grandmother: Lula Howard of Tyner, KY.; A host of treasured aunts, uncles & cousins also survive. Funeral services for Mr. James Douglas Adams will be conducted on Thursday ~ July 12, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home ~ Hyden, KY. with Donnie Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the Singleton Cemetery ~ Wendover, KY. Visitation will be held on Wednesday ~ July 11, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home.
