She was 86 years, 5 months, & 23 days old. Martha "Mot" was born at Kaliopi, Ky., the daughter of the late John Griffith & Susan Woods Griffith. She was a homemaker & member of the Baptist Church. Martha "Mot" enjoyed gardening, sewing, & cooking as hobbies. She was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., residing at 3354 Hwy. # 421, Bear Branch, Ky., at the time of her death. Martha "Mot" was preceded in death by her parents, John Griffith & Susan Woods Griffith, her husband, Floyd Jones, two sons, Daniel Jones & John Jones, two daughters, Aileen Jones & Charlotte Jones, two great grandchildren, Peyton & Nicholas Holland, six brothers, Jack, Birchell, Earl, Willie, Charlie, & Jim Griffith, five sisters, Ora, Fannie, Mary, Dora, & Georgia. Mrs. Martha "Mot" Griffith Jones leaves the following relatives surviving: one son: Ross Jones of Bear Branch, Ky., three daughters: Susie Lee Graham of Bear Branch, Ky., Nancy Baker & Larry of Miamisburg, Ohio, Susan Holland & Donnie of Bear Branch,Ky., daughter-in-law: Carol Jones of London, Ky., six grandchildren: Mary Ann Graham, Recil Jones & Angie, Rodney Jones & Kathy, Edmond Jones & LaShelle, Steven Jones & Kim, Larry Floyd Baker & Shelly, seven great-grandchildren: Makenzie,Taylor, Abby, Hannah, Roscoe, Marissa, Tyler, three step - great, grandchildren, and a host of treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends to mourn her death. The funeral service for Mrs. Martha "Mot" Griffith Jones will be conducted at 2:00 P.M.- Sunday - July 6, 2008 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Don Blair officiating. The interment will follow in the John Griffith & Susan Woods Griffith Cemetery, Devil Jump Branch, Confluence, Ky., under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home staff.
