Kerns served honorably in the Air Force in the Korean War & was also in the 32nd degree Mason & Shriner in Mason, Ohio. He was of the Pentecostal Faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting & western movies. Kerns Ford was Preceded in Death by: his Parents: Kenneth & Stella Walden Ford; Brother: Jerry Ford. He leaves the following relatives surviving: his Wife: Helen Ruth Ford of Hyden, KY.; Sons: Kenneth Frank Ford of Pensacola, Florida, Mark Ford of Pensacola, Florida, Richard Ford & Debbie of Friendsville, TN., Christopher Ford of Florence, KY., Kerns Glen Ford of Somerset, KY. & Jeremiah Ford of Barbourville, KY.; Daughters: Patricia Wood & Chip of Pensacola, Florida & Candi Ratliff of Hyden, KY.; Brother: Oscar Ford & Margaret of Greenville, S.C.; 15 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren & 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
