Mr. Lill Hendrix

Mr. Lill Hendrix, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Hyden Health & Rehab Center in Hyden. He was born at Yeaddiss, KY the son of the late Riley Hendrix, and the late Orgia Lewis Hendrix. By occupation he was a disabled furniture factory worker and auto mechanic, and worked as a mine night watchman as well. He enjoyed reading and watching T.V. and especially spending time with his family. Mr. Lill Hendrix was affiliated with the Church of God. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Riley & Orgia; Brothers: Lee, Dewey, and Charles Ray; Sisters: Polly Williams and Maryland Sizemore. Mr. Lill Hendrix leaves surviving the following relatives: Sons: Rick Hendrix & Holli of Waco, KY. and Randall Hendrix & Julie of Campton, KY.; Daughter: Rita Gilbert & Greg of Hyden, KY.; Brother: Sammy Hendrix of Yeaddiss, KY.; Sister: Mallie Gross of Yeaddiss, KY.; Special Niece and Care Giver: Loretta & Paul Cornett of Cumberland, KY.; Grandchildren: Austin Hendrix, Jordan Hendrix, Terry Hendrix, Kortney Hendrix and Caden Gilbert. He is also survived by a host of treasured nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Lill Hendrix will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday - March 4, 2011 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis and Larry Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis Family Cemetery located at Yeaddiss, KY. The following will serve as pallbearers: Friends may call for visitation at 6:00 P.M. Thursday - March 3, 2011 at the funeral home chapel.
