The Obituary for Mrs. Ruby Jean Adams Griffith Officiating Ministers: Harold Turner, Danny Day & Rev. Roger Wolfe Mrs. Ruby Jean Adams Griffith was born on February 15, 1924 at Wendover, KY. and departed this life on January 27, 2011 at the Hyden Health & Rehab Center in Hyden, KY. She was 86 years of age at the time of her passing. Ruby was the daughter of the late Margarett Fields and the late Wilson Adams. She was a lifelong resident of Leslie County and was a member of the Smilax Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening & flowers and being involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; Husband: James "Jim" Griffith; Sons: James, Jr. & Rex; Brothers: Cecil, Raleigh, Denver & Denny; Sister: Doris; Infant Son. Ruby leaves the following relatives surviving: Sons: Elbert Griffith & Shenia of West Point, IN., Kenneth Griffith of Wooton, KY., Harry Griffith of Richmond, KY. and Johnny Griffith & Teresia of Hyden, KY.; Daughters: Dora Lee Riger & Allen of Bradenton, FL., Geraldine Dixon & Arthur of New Carilse, OH. and Wanda Griffith Couch of Wooton, KY.; Brother: Tilden Bedwell & Betty of Campton, KY.; A host of grandchildren & great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Jean Adams Griffith will be conducted on Sunday - January 30, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Smilax Church of Christ with Harold Turner, Danny Day and Roger Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow the funeral services at the Singleton Cemetery at Wendover, KY. The following served as pallbearers: Elbert Griffith, Harry Griffith, Johnny Griffith, Arthur Dixon, Elbert Griffith,Jr. and Vernon Carr.
