The obituary of Mr. Irvin Sizemore Officiating Minister: Rev. Robert Amundsen Mr. Irvin Sizemore born June 30 , 1931 departed this life on November 9, 2010 at the age of 79 years. He was born at Roark, Kentucky the son of the late Chester Sizemore and the late Effie Cox Sizemore. By occupation he was a logger and employed by Diamond International Lumber Co. in California for 15 years. Irvin & Lois moved back to Leslie Co. in 1975. They operated Irvin Sizemore Grocery at Roark, Ky., until their retirement. Irvin enjoyed his coin collection, guns and livestock, but he especially enjoyed his children and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents: Chester and Effie Sizemore; one sister: Ora Lee; one foster son: Leonard Mack; two brothers: Bige and Bentley. He leaves surviving the following relatives: his loving and devoted wife: Lois Mason Sizemore of Hyden, KY; two sons: Leslie Allen Sizemore and Betty Lou of Manchester, KY; Wesley Dean Sizemore and Krista of Hyden, KY; one brother: Tom Sizemore of London, KY; six grandchildren: Wesley, Effie, Jennifer, Leslie Irvin, Matthew and Chelsey and 6 great grandchildren. Mr. Irvin Sizemore is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Irvin Sizemore will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Jacks Creek United Methodist Church at Roark, KY with Rev. Robert Amundsen officiating. Interment will follow in the Sizemore Family Cemetery at Roark, KY. The following will serve as pallbearers: Leslie Sizemore, Dean Sizemore, Wesley Sizemore, Leslie Irvin Sizemore, Doug McLoney, Clay Allen Sizemore and Body Collett.
