Ola Lillian Wilson, 95 of Helton, KY., passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Mary Breckinridge-ARH Hospital in Hyden, Ky. Ola Lillian Wilson born on May 28, 1917 at Helton, Kentucky the daughter of the late John L. Wilson and the late Minerva Napier Wilson. Lillian was a graduate of Red Bird High School and Union College. She was a retired elementary school teacher having taught in several one room schools, some of which were Saylor and Napier. She also taught at Stinnett & Beech Fork Elementary. Lillian served 37 years as an educator and was a member of the Ky. Retired Teachers' Association. She was a devoted member of the Upper Beech Fork United Methodist Church, Helton, Ky. and was a charter member of the church. Lillian served as the church organist for many years. She was an avid musician & enjoyed traveling & genealogy as hobbies. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents: John and Minerva Wilson, 4 brothers: Oscar, Shelby, Hobert, Carl; 2 sisters: Rose Nantz and Opha Wilson. She leaves surviving a host of treasured nieces and nephews and her loving and devoted caretaker: Molly Brock Simpson. Funeral services for Mrs. Ola Lillian Wilson will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday - November 11, 2012 at the Upper Beech Fork United Methodist Church with Rev. Reed Brock and Rev. Dan Griffiths officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilson Family Cemetery at Helton, Kentucky.
