He passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Ky. at the age of 83 years, 4 months & 3 days. Boyd had been a resident of Somerset, Ky. for the past 12 years,previously living at Busy, Ky. He was a member of the Lower Grassy Branch Church of Christ at Busy, KY. He was an avid hunter & fisherman. Boyd Colwell was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Floria, sons: Donald & Larry Wade & siblings: Albert, Elihue, Ruth, Obed, Ed, Hazel, Annie & Dennis He leaves the following relatives surviving: 1 son: Marty Colwell of Somerset, Ky., 1 sister: Shirley Colwell of Shepherdsville, Ky. & 5 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren.
