The Obituary of Ms. Dixie Jeanette Callahan Ms. Dixie Jeanette Callahan was born on September 13, 1940 and departed this life on July 3, 2011 at the Hillcrest Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corbin, KY. She was 70 years of age at the time of her passing. Jeanette was the daughter of the late Kelly Callahan and the late Thelma Turner Callahan. She was a lifelong resident of Leslie County with the exception of living in Corbin for the last few years. Jeanette was affiliated with the Baptist Church. She was Preceded in Death by: Parents: Kelly & Thelma Turner Hall; Brothers: Johnny Luttrel & Monroe Hall; Sister: Geraldine Bernard. Ms. Dixie Jeanette Callahan leaves the following relatives surviving: Brothers: Darrell Callahan & Freda of Wooton, KY., James Larry Callahan & Judy of Barbourville, KY., Donnie Callahan & Karen of Ohio and Henry Hall of Manchester, KY.; Sisters: Claudette Grubb & Alvin of Manchester, KY. and Jewell Kuhn & Bill of Ohio. Funeral services for Ms. Dixie Jeanette Callahan will be conducted on Wednesday ~ July 6, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. with Larry Callahan officiating at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel ~ Hyden, KY. Burial will follow in the Adams Family Cemetery ~ Wooton, KY. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Chapel until time of funeral service at 1:00 P.M.
