Ben Swenson Mrs. Marie Howard Garrison was born on May 5, 1952 in Hyden, KY. and departed this life on April 20, 2012 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, KY. Marie was 59 years, 11 months & 15 days of age at the time of her passing. She was the Daughter of Harold Howard and Mary Ellen Nantz and Wife of John C. Garrison. By occupation Marie was employed by Hyden Citizens Bank as Executive- Vice President. She was a lifelong resident of Leslie County. Marie enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching and fishing as hobbies. She was a Member of the Muncy Creek Baptist Church in Hyden, KY. Marie was preceded in death by: her Father-In-Law: Mr. Afton Garrison Marie leaves the following relatives surviving: Father: Harold Howard of Mozelle, KY.; Mother: Mary Ellen Nantz of Essie, KY.; Loving & Devoted Husband: John C. Garrison of Stinnett, KY.; Son: Stephen Dwayne Garrison & Fiance Erica Noel Snedegar of Dublin, OH.; Daughter: Joan Shannon Garrison of Stinnett, KY.; Brothers: Freddie Howard & Becky of Helton, KY., Glenn Howard of Mozelle, KY. and Dean Howard & Michelle of Manchester, KY.; Sister: Sue Slusher of Mozelle, KY.; Mother-In-Law: Mrs. Eunice Garrison of Stinnett, Ky. A host of treasured nieces & nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Howard Garrison will be conducted on Monday ~ April 23, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home in Hyden, KY. with Rev. Ben Swenson officiating. Burial will follow in the Garrison Family Cemetery in Stinnett, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Billy Napier, Chase Garrison, Gary Garrison, Scott Slusher, Russell Hornsby and Ray Brewer.
