The Obituary for Kelly Johnson, Jr. Officiating Minister: John Romer Kelly Johnson, Jr. was born on January 14, 1943, passed away on April 18, 2009 at the age of 66 years, 3 months & 4 days. Kelly was born at Shoal, Ky., the son of the late Kelly Johnson, Sr. & Virgie Bowling Johnson. He had been life-long resident of Leslie Co. with the exception of living in Lexington, Ky. from 1968-1991. By occupation he was a U.S. Veteran of the U.S. Army Vietnam War & a self-employed Construction Contractor. He was affliated with the Baptist Church. He was a Lifetime Member of the VFW Post#680 in Lexington, KY. He enjoyed ATV riding, fishing, boating & reading. Kelly Johnson, Jr. was preceded in death by His Parents: Kelly Sr. & Virgie Bowling Johnson, 1 Brother: Bert Johnson. He Leaves the following relatives surviving: His Wife: Linda Thompson Johnson of Lexington, Ky., 2 Daughters: Jamie Sizemore of Lexington, Ky. & Kelly Renee'Johnson & Kyle Bowling of Indianapolis, In., 1 Brother: Howard Johnson & Carol of North Carolina, 3 Sisters: Lois Jean Brashear of Lexington, Ky., Amy Lou Fielder & Bill of Ohio & Chloe Baker & Bill of Ohio, 1 Sister-In-Law: Esther Johnson Parton of Indianapolis, In. & 1 Grandchild: Dakota Alan Sizemore A Memorial Service & Military Rites will be performed by the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home & the Leslie Co. DAV Chapter #133 on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Elkhorn School Bottom at Hyden, Ky. Burial will follow in the Bowling Cemetery at Shoal, KY.
