The Obituary of Mrs. Rebecca Asher Melton Officiating Ministers: Merle Caudill & Greg Whitaker Mrs. Rebecca Asher Melton was born on December 27, 1916 in McIntosh (Wooton), KY. and passed away on Wednesday ~ Dec. 19, 2012 at her residence at 120 Meltonville Ln. ~ Wooton, KY. She was 95 years, 11 months and 19 days of age at the time of her passing. Rebecca was the Daughter of the late Henry Asher and the late Ida Bailey Asher. By occupation she was a Homemaker. Rebecca was a lifelong resident of Leslie County and was a Member of the Wooton Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and yardwork as hobbies. Rebecca was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. She was Preceded in Death by: Parents: Henry Asher & Ida Bailey Asher; Husband: Felix P. Melton; Sons: Henry Russell Melton and David Monroe Melton & Wife Laura; Beloved Daughter-In-Law: Irene Melton; 13 Siblings. Rebecca leaves the following relatives surviving: Sons: Curt Melton of Wooton, KY. and Ben Riley Melton & Izena of Wooton, KY.; Daughter: Ethel Bray of Franklin, OH.; Brother: Robert Asher & Ruth of Wooton, KY.; Grandchildren: Kenny, Arlene, Derek, Susan, Mildred, Johnny, Gina, Teresa, Kenny, Ricky, Donna Kaye, Janice and Eddie; A host of treasured Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren; Special Great Granddaughter: Amanda Irene Collett & Joshua. Funeral services for Mrs. Rebecca Asher Melton will be conducted on Saturday ~ Dec. 22, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wooton Presbyterian Church with Merle Caudill and Greg Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Melton Family Cemetery in Wooton, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Kenny Bray, Johnny Melton, Kenny Melton, Ricky Melton, Eddie Melton, William Spencer, Joshua Collett and Michael Smith. The following will serve as Honorary Pallbearers: Curtis Derek Melton. Visitation will be on Friday ~ Dec. 21, 2012 beginning at 5:00 P.M. at the Church.
