The Obituary for Helen Howard Officiating Minister: Rev. Chris Sales Helen Howard was born on August 15, 1923 at Cinda, Ky., the daughter of the late Allen & Maude Maggard Howard. She passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at the Mary Breckinridge Hospital in Hyden,Ky. By occupation she was a homemaker and was a member of the Solid Rock Bible Church. Her hobbies included: embroidery, quilting, crossword puzzles and being involved in her grandchildrens lives. She was a lifelong resident of Leslie County with the exception of living in Covington for a short period of time. Mrs. Helen Howard was preceded in death by her parents; son: John Paul Howard; brothers: Marcus, James Edward, Edgar, Billy Ray and David Bruce Howard. She leaves the following relatives surviving: brothers: Edmond Howard & Pearlene of Indianapolis, IN. and Earl Howard & Ruth of New LeBanon, OH.; sisters: Mae Parker of Hyden, KY. and June Linn & Norman of Indianapolis, IN.; grandchildren: Kimberly Howard Padgett & David and Johnny Raye Howard & Debra; great grandchildren: Nathan Padgett, John Isaac Howard and Luke Christian Howard. Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Howard will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. - Wednesday - December 16, 2009 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel. The interment will follow the funeral at the Maggard Cemetery in Cinda, KY. Friends may call for visitation from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday - December 15, 2009 at the funeral home.
