He was the Son of the late Charles Otis Hensley & the late Dossie Sizemore Hensley. He had been a resident of Waddy, KY. for the past 20 years coming from Louisville, KY. He was a member of the Church of God. By occupation he was a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed 4-wheeling & NASCAR. He was Preceded in Death by his: Parents: Charles Otis Hensley & Dossie Sizemore Hensley; Brother: James Edward Hensley. He leaves the following relatives surviving: Son: Timothy Hensley & Amanda of Louisville, KY.; Daughter: Jennifer Owens of Louisville, KY.; Brothers: Don Hensley & Wanda of Simpsonville, KY., David Richard Hensley & Margaret of Bagdad, KY., Roger Hensley of Bagdad, KY. and Ronald Hensley of Bagdad, KY.; Sisters: Louise Sawyers of Simpsonville, KY., Mary Margaret King & Paul of Louisville, KY., Linda Sue Craig & Jessie of Bagdad, KY. and Elizabeth Ann Sullivan of Louisville, KY.; 3 Grandchildren and also a host of other relatives & friends survive. Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Parkway Holiness Church at Thousandsticks KY. with Charles Edward Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Roberts Cemetery (Short Creek), Hyden, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Dale Hensley, Tony Hensley, Ray Engle, David Hensley, James Sawyer, Matt Maloney & Jim Maloney. Visitation will begin Wednesday April 24, 2013 at 5:00 P.M. at the Parkway Holiness Church at Thousandsticks, KY., until time of Funeral on Friday.
