The obituary of Mrs. Doris Bowling Officiating Ministers: Rev. John Boley & Steve Collett Mrs. Doris Bowling, age 84, of 3237 Coon Creek Rd. Wooton, KY passed away Friday- Aug. 2, 2013 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born in Leslie County the daughter of the late Claude Maggard and the late Beatrice Hooker Maggard. By occupation Doris was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and especially spending time with her children. Doris was of the Protestant faith. She was preceded in death by her parents: Claude & Beatrice maggard, one son: Robert Claude Bowling, one daughter: Deborah Ball, one brother: Raymond Maggard,one sister: Janice Coots & great-grandchild: Blake Smith Doris leaves surviving the following relatives: four daughters: Diane Stancil & Robert of Wooton, KY, Donna Bowling of Wooton, KY, Lillian Gail Couch of Lexington, KY and Brenda Bowling Stivers of Lexington, KY; two brothers: Hubert Maggard of Hamilton, OH, Carl Edward Maggard of Wooton,KY , two sisters: Eulene Causey of Wooton, KY, Claudette Rust & Jim of Hamilton, OH; seven grandchildren: Leslie Susan Collett (Whom she considered a daughter) & Steve, Melinda Burns, Jerry Couch, Beverly Smith, Kenny Tincher, Robert Allen Stancil II, Kurt Robert Smith; three great grandchildren: James Golden Sizemore, Casius Marcellues Smith and Travis Burns. Doris is also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends. FUNERAL: 1:00 p.m. - Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel @ Hyden, KY.
