Roy Napier Velma Brock Roark was born on June 25, 1926 at White Oak, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Floyd & Amanda Howard Brock.She passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was 84 years, 8 months & 23 days of age and residing at Warbranch, KY. at the time of her passing. Velma had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co., She was united in marriage to Farmer Roark in December 1947. She was a member of the New Hope Community Church at Warbranch, KY. She was a loving homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, flowers & animals (especially chickens). Velma Brock Roark was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Farmer Roark on September 18, 2009, one son: Willie Roark, one grandson: Farmer Dwayne Roark, one infant granddaughter: Velma Dean Roark, four brothers: Isaac, Charlie & George Brock & Granville Mosley & two sisters: Doshie Milton & Mona Jones She leaves the following relatives surviving: three sons: Donald Roark & Carol of Warbranch, KY., Lonnie Roark & Bobbie of Warbranch, KY. & Wayne Roark & Jenny of London, Ky., one daughter: Yvonne Brock & Levi of Louisville, Ky., eleven grandchildren: Stanley Roark, Lonnie C. Brock, Levi Brock, Jr., Kenny Roark, Vonda Brock, Tisha Jackson, Jenna Shanks, Doshie Hubbard, Ashley Roberts, Macey Wilson & Lisa Brock & eleven great-grandchildren & also one to be born. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive. Funeral service will be on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the New Hope Community Church at Warbranch, Ky., with Rev. Denver Brock, Rev. Ralph Brown, Rev. Teddy Collett & Rev. Roy Napier officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Rye Cove Cemetery at Warbranch, KY. The following will serve as pallbearers: Billy Mac Napier, Stanley Roark, Lonnie Curtis Brock, Robert Shanks, Bobby Joe Hubbard & Cornelius Roark.
