The Obituary of Mrs. Betty Howard Officiating Ministers: Rev. Vernon Willard, Rev. Eugene Roberts and Doug Roberts Mrs. Betty Howard was born on September 18, 1921 and departed this life on August 23, 2011 at the age of 89 years. She was born at Essie, Kentucky the daughter of the late Fred Collett and the late Lucy Roark Collett. By occupation she was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, Kentucky. Mrs. Betty Howard was a founding member of the Stinnett Gap Church of God and had also been affiliated with the Muncy Creek Holiness Church. She enjoyed gardening, and camping trips especially with her grandchildren. Betty was Preceded in Death by her Parents: Fred and Lucy; Husband: Isaac Howard; one Son: Danny Ray Howard; Twin Daughters: Flora and Nora Roberts; four Sisters: Helen Collett, Thelma Morgan, Sally Morgan, & Emily Hacker and two Brothers: Virgil Collett & Homer Collett. She leaves surviving the following relatives: one Son: Paul Henry Roberts of Stanford, KY.; one Daughter: Magdalene Smith of Stinnett, KY.; one Brother: Frank Collett of Keavy, KY.; Daughter-In-Law: Patsy Howard of Stinnett, KY.; seven Grandchildren; Delaney Roberts & Lisa, Doug Roberts & Julie, Paula Crabtree & Dwayne, Patrick Roberts & Ashley, James Howard & Lisa, Stacey Smith & Steve and Cecil Morgan. Betty is also survived by 12 Great Grandchildren and a host of other treasured relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Howard will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday ~ August 26, 2011 at the Stinnett Gap Church of God with Rev. Vernon Willard, Rev. Eugene Roberts and Doug Roberts officiating. The interment will follow in the Gilbert Cemetery located at Stinnett, KY. with the following serving as Pallbearers: Doug Roberts, Patrick Roberts, Dale Roberts, Jamie Howard, Cecil Morgan, Jeremy Livingston and Randy Dwayne Roberts.
