The Obituary of Mrs. Irene D. Melton Officiating Ministers: Rev. Greg Whitaker and Rev. Merle Caudill Mrs. Irene Melton, age 69 of Wooton, Ky., Wife of Curt Melton, passed away on Thursday ~ January 12, 2012 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, KY. She was born on Dec. 21, 1942 at Dean, TN. She was the Daughter of the late Ray Dotson and the late Mildred Phillips Dotson. By occupation Irene was a Homemaker and especially enjoyed being involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Wooton Presbyterian Church and had lived in Leslie County all her life with the exception of living in Ohio for 17 years. Irene was Preceded in Death by her Parents: Ray & Mildred; Sister: Justine Patton; Father-In-Law: Felix Melton. She leaves surviving the following relatives: Loving and Devoted Husband: Curtis "Poor Boy" Melton of Wooton, KY; Son: Curtis Derek Melton of Wooton, KY.; Daughters: Mildred Spencer & Husband William of Wooton, KY. and Donna K. Melton of Wooton, KY.; Special Mom-in-Law: Rebecca Melton of Wooton, KY.; Brother: R.C. Dotson & Wife Shirley of Mississippi, Sister: Lorrine Crider of Michigan, 2-Half Brothers: Eddie Dotson & Freddie Dotson both of Michigan, Half Sister: Gail Lynn of Michigan, 3 Grandchildren: Tiffany Kaye Napier & Preston, Amanda Irene Collett & Josh and Danielle Rebecca Spencer; Great Granddaughter: Kyleigh MaKayren Napier. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Irene Dotson Melton will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the Wooton Presbyterian Church with Rev. Greg Whitaker and Rev. Merle Caudill officiating. Burial will follow in the Meltonville Cemetery at Wooton, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: William Spencer, Preston Napier, Joshua Collett, Brian T.
