The obituary of Mr. Hobert Ray Asher Officiating Ministers: Rev. Jimmy Ward and Rev. Teddy Collett Mr. Hobert Ray Asher born June 2, 1971 departed this life on August 17, 2011 at the age of 40 years. He was born at Beverly, Ky the son of Della Mae Asher and the late Hobert Asher. By occupation he was a coal miner having worked for James River Coal Company. Hobert was a member of the National Guard and was affiliated with the Riverside Baptist Church in Beverly, KY. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, digging ginseng, 4-wheeling but most of all spending time with his children. Hobert was preceded in death by his father: Hobert Asher and one brother: Dennis Asher.He leaves surviving the following relatives: mother: Della Mae Asher of Warbranch, KY, grandmothers: Lois Asher and Opal Asher, two sons: Hobert Cody Asher & Chelcie of Harrogate, TN, Lowell Brandon Nantz of Harrogate, TN, one daughter: Kimber Asher of Warbranch, KY, two sisters: Amy Lynn Collett & Scottie of Warbranch, KY, Angela Michelle Smith & Marty of Beverly, KY one grandchild: Christian Hobert Asher, three nephews: Kennedy Isaac Sizemore, Trevor Hoskins, Connor Ray Hoskins, three nieces: Kayla Smith, Faith Chadwell and Kyrie Collett. Hobert, Jr. is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Hobert Ray Asher will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the Riverside Baptist Church at Beverly, KY with Rev. Jimmy Ward and Rev. Teddy Collett officiating. The interment will follow in the Asher Cemetery at Beverly, Ky. Full Military Rites will be observed by the Leslie Co. D.A.V. Chapter # 133.The following will serve as pallbearers: Cody Asher, Brandon Nantz, Pat Smith, Jamie Richardson, Marty Smith, Jesse Owens & Scottie Collett.
