Walter Nolan

Walter Nolan, age 82, of Harrods Branch Road, London,husband of the late Essie Gross Nolan, passed away Monday at his residence. He was the father of Betty Griffitts of Huber Heights, Ohio, Lucy Klawes of Bledsoe, Kentucky, Rose Mary Brown of Hawesville, Kentucky, and Lena Bowling of London. The brother of Louise Warford of Mozelle, Kentucky, Birchel Nolan and A.D. Nolan, both of Warbranch, Kentucky. The grandfather of Steve and wife Tammy, Melissa, David and wife Melissa, Chris, Dawn, Stephanie, Chris, Jon, Stephen and wife Laura, Katie and husband Austin, Nate, and Nick. The great-grandfather of Justin, Kyle, Austin and wife Kelli, Autumn, Andrew, Kayla, Michael,and Riley. The great-great grandfather of, Eli and Brady. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Rosie Hoskins Nolan, by one daughter, Lois Nolan, by two brothers, Frank Nolan and Caleb Nolan, by two sisters, Maggie Roark and Polly Jane Caldwell, and by one son-in-law, David Klawes. He was a retired Coal Miner and avid nature lover. He enjoyed working in the yard, squirrel hunting, singing and playing Bluegrass music and spending time with his family. He was a wonderful Husband, Dad, Grandfather, and an awesome Storyteller. Funeral services for Walter Nolan will be conducted Friday at 1:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Cecil Benge officiating. Burial will follow at Browns Cemetery. The family of Walter Nolan will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
