He passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010 at the Mercy Hospital in Fairfield, Ohio at the age of 81 years, 2 months & 20 days. John Henry had been a resident of Hamilton, Ohio for the past forty years. By occupation John Henry was a retired Superintendent for Queen City Railroad Co. He enjoyed fishing, all sports (especially baseball) & was a avid fan of U.K. & University of Louisville sports. John Henry Cornett was preceded in death by his parents: John & Mahala Cornett, 3 brothers: Walter "Nick" Cornett, Bill Cornett & Charlie Cornett, 2 sisters: Edra Deaton & Edna Fields, 1 daughter: Amanda Cornett, 2 grandsons: Brian Matthew Sizemore & John August Anthony Cornett & 1 grand-daughter: Mahala Darlena Cornett. He leaves the following relatives surviving: 4 sons: John Anthony Cornett & Rita of Hamilton, Ohio, Jeffrey L. Cornett of Hamilton, Ohio, John David Cornett & Rachel of Colerain, Ohio & Fred Melvin Cornett of Hamilton, Ohio, 6 daughters: Elaine Stewart & Brian of Fairfield, Ohio, Jackie Sizemore & Bobby of Keavy, Ky., Robin Cornett of Keavy, Ky., Regina Lynn Rathburn of Columbus, Ohio, Vonda Lynn Cornett of Hamilton, Ohio & Dawn Candray & Oscar of Hamilton, Ohio, 1 brother: Fred Marshall Cornett & Nannie of Mckee, Ky., 19 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great grandchild, also a host of nieces, nephews other relatives & friends survive. Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel, Hyden, Ky., with Rev. Ted Couch officiating. Burial will follow in the Sizemore-Napier Family Cemetery at Dryhill, KY. The following will serve as pallbearers: Jeffery, John Paul, Kenny, Chad, Bobby & Brian.
