The obituary of Mr.Clen Farmer Officiating Minister: Keith Bowling Mr. Clen Farmer born March 9, 1932 departed this life on April 14, 2009 at the age of 77 years, 1 month and 5 days old. he was born at Stinnett, Kentucky the son of the late Clyde Farmer and the late Esther Smith Farmer. By occupation he was retired from the U.S. Air Force and had served in the Korean Conflict. Clen was a member of the 4-H Extension-Agriculture Board, he was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing, hunting,caring for his dogs and bee keeping. Clen enjoyed cooking and was a dietitian in the Air force. He was a faithful & devoted member of the Stinnett Church of Christ and had been a resident of Leslie County since 1971. Mr. Clen Farmer was preceded in death by his parents: Clyde and Esther Farmer; one son: Terry Lee farmer; one brother: Hershel farmer; one infant brother: Hiram Anthony; one sister; Ethel Moore. He leaves surviving the following relatives: wife: Barbara Wheatley Farmer of Stinnett, KY, two Sons: Roger Dale Farmer & Nancy of Columbiana, OH, Randy Clen Farmer & Adrienne of the Phillipines, two daughters: Jo Anne Morris & Jason of Stinnett, KY, Kathy Denise Farmer of Manchester, KY, two brothers: Clay Farmer & Alma of Stinnett, Ky, Emmitt Farmer of Stinnett, KY, two sisters: Bernice Roberts & Ernest of Stinnett, KY, Zola Begley & Bige of Hyden, KY two grandchildren: Lisa Fullerton & Matt, Amy Farmer, a very dear friend whom he viewed as family; Betsy MacMillan. Mr. Clen Farmer leaves surviving a host of other treasured relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Clen Farmer will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday- April 18, 2009 at the Stinnett Church of Christ at Stinnett, Kentucky with Keith Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Round Hole Cemetery at Stinnett, KY under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home staff. Military Rites will be observed by the Leslie County D.A.V. Chapter #133. The following will serve as pallbearers: Bobby Farmer, Billy Farmer, Glen Farmer, Darren Farmer, Ronnie Farmer, Joey Begley, James Steven Burton and Ernest Roberts.
