The Obituary of Mrs. Mallie Hendrix Gross Officiating Ministers: Rev. Billy Joe Lewis & Rev. Clemmie Joseph Mrs. Mallie Hendrix Gross was born on May 18, 1925 in Cutshin, KY. and departed this life on June 30, 2011 at the Hazard Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY. Mallie was 86 years of age at the time of her passing. She was the Daughter of the late Riley Hendrix and the late Orgia Lewis Hendrix and was the Wife of the late Farmer Gross. By occupation Mallie was employed by FNS for 10 years and also operated the family Grocery with her husband, Farmer. She was a lifelong resident of Leslie County and was a member of the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ ~ Smilax, KY. and Cutshin Bible Church ~ Yeaddiss, KY. Mallie enjoyed being involved in lives of her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers, cooking and quilting. She was Preceded in Death by: Parents: Riley & Orgia Lewis Hendrix; Husband: Farmer Gross; Daughter: Ann Conner; Brothers: Dewey Hendrix, Lee Hendrix, Lill Hendrix and Charles Ray Hendrix; Sisters: Polly Williams and Maryland Sizemore; Grandsons: Mark Anthony Gross and Bobby Brandon Marshall; Son-In-Law: Arthur Napier. Mrs. Mallie Hendrix Gross leaves the following relatives surviving: Sons: Harold Harris & Sheila of Richmond, KY., Odean Gross of Yeaddiss, KY. and Clayton Gross & Laura of Yeaddiss, KY.; Daughters: Loretta Cornett & Paul of Cumberland, KY. Gaylene Napier of Hyden, KY., Athalene Gross & Ronnie Folmsbee of Yeaddiss, KY. and Sheila Marshall & Robert of Louisville, KY.; Brother: Sammy Hendrix; Special Daughter-In-Law: Brenda Gross Morgan; Caregivers: Bonnie & Dawnie Harris and Vivian Baker. Mallie is also survived by 19 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren and 1 to be born. Funeral services for Mrs. Mallie Hendrix Gross will be conducted on Monday ~ July 4, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ at Smilax, KY. with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis & Rev. Clemmie Joseph officiating. Burial will follow in the Farmer Gross Family Cemetery ~ Yeaddiss, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Brian Cornett, Paul David Cornett, Brandon Howard, Wally Asher, Gary Harris, Michael Harris, Chris Callahan, Jacob Marshall and Michael Callahan. The following will serve as Honorary Pallbearers: Jonathan Harris and Justin Coots. Visitation will be on Sunday ~ July 3, 2011 from 6:00 ~ 9:00 P.M. at the church.
