The obituary of Mr. Glenn Elmer Bowling Officiating Ministers: Rev. Merle Caudill & Rev. Greg Whitaker Mr. Glenn Elmer Bowling was born on October 20, 1945 and departed this life on January 26, 2011 at the age of 65 years old. He was born in Leslie County, Kentucky, the son of the late Lawton and Ida Gibson Bowling. By occupation he was a retired construction worker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County with the exception of living in Indiana for some numerous years. Mr. Glenn Elmer Bowling was preceded in death by his parents: Lawton & Ida Bowling; four brothers: John, David, Daniel and James Lester; infant twin brother: Lynn and another infant brother; three sisters: Mary, Berta and Kaye. He leaves surviving the following relatives: two sons: Glenn Bowling of Richmond, IN., Jeff Bowling & Hope of Winchester, IN. and Aaron Feltner; one daughter: Kara Ann Bowling of Wooton, KY.; one brother: Bill Bowling of Walbash, IN.; two sisters: Irene Burge & Tim of Lynn, IN. and Ann Wathen of Lebanon, KY.; four grandchildren: Twins: Grant & Garrett Bowling, Lindsey Bowling and William Lawton Bowling; a host of nieces and nephews: including two special nephews: Ben Mosley and Lisa of Wooton, KY. and Matt Bowling & Beth of Hazard, KY. Mr. Glenn Elmer Bowling is also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Glenn Elmer Bowling will be conducted at 12:00 Noon - Saturday - January 29, 2011 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Merle Caudill and Rev. Greg Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowling Family Cemetery located at Hyden, KY.
