Billy Joe Lewis Mrs. Nelia Blevins was born on September 5, 1925 in Yeaddiss, KY. and passed away on Thursday ~ June 7, 2012 at the Hyden Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was 86 years of age at the time of her passing. Nelia was the Daughter of the late Henry Hendrix & the late Stella Browning and the Wife of the late Cooper Blevins. By occupation Nelia was Homemaker and a lifelong resident of Leslie County. She enjoyed gardening, flowers & ginsenging as hobbies. Nelia was Preceded in Death by Parents: Henry & Stella Browning Hendrix; Husband: Cooper Blevins; Sister: Pearlie Turner; Brothers: Jim, Dewey, Vincent & Farmer; Daughter-In-Law: Sharon; Granddaughter: Jennifer Blevins. She leaves the following relatives surviving: Sons: Jerry Blevins of Cumberland, KY., Darrell Blevins & Patty of Kansas City, Missouri and Lonnie Blevins & Phyllis of North Carolina; Daughters: Edna Williams of Viper, KY., Brenda Brashear of Hazard, KY., Irene Burkhart & Jake of Yeaddiss, KY. and Donna Broughton & Scott of Barbourville, KY.; Brothers: Willie Hendrix of Crab Orchard, KY. and Henry Hendrix, Jr. of Nicholasville, KY.; Sister: Nancy Deaton of Hazard, KY.; 13 Grandchildren; A host of Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Granddaughter to be in October, and a host of special nieces & nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Nelia Blevins will be conducted on Sunday ~ June 10, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Baker Family Cemetery in Yeaddiss, KY (Persimmon Fork). Visitation will be on Saturday ~ June 9, 2012 from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home.
