The Obituary for Mrs. Wilma Dean Griffie Osborne Officiating Ministers: Rev. Ted Couch & Rev. Randy Woods Mrs. Wilma Dean Griffie Osborne was born on October 9, 1954 at Hyden, Kentucky, the daughter of the late, Birchel & Pauline Rice Griffie. Wilma passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, Ky. at the age of 57 years, 11 months & 9 days. She was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., by occupation Wilma was former manager at Subway Restaurant in Hyden, Ky. for 18 1/2 years & owner & operator of Hyden Auction. Wilma was affliated with the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church at Hyden, KY. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, working with the public but most of all she enjoyed being involved in the lives of her children & grandchildren. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents: Birchel & Pauline Griffie, one son: Billy Joe Osborne, one sister: Ethel Griffie, three half-brothers: Birchel "Bud" Griffie, Dempsey Griffie & Donald Griffie & two brother-in-laws: C.B. Sandlin & Jesse Begley She leaves the following relatives surviving: her loving & devoted husband: Golden Osborne, Jr. of Thousandsticks, KY., one son: Jamie (Goob) Osborne & Gail of Thousandsticks, KY., one daughter: Anna Hacker & Brian of Stinnett, KY., one brother: Jack Griffie & Phyllis of Hyden, KY., three sisters: Sinda Sandlin of Thousandsticks, KY., Edith Osborne & Pete of Thousandsticks, KY., & Phyllis Begley of Annville, KY., two half-brothers: Henry Griffie & Joe Griffie, one half-sister: Margaret Lee, father-in-law & mother-in-law: Golden & Dallie Osborne of Thousandsticks, daughter-in-law: Liz Osborne, four grandchildren: Brandon Hacker, Breanne Hacker, Brooklynn Hacker & Jamelia Billy Gail Osborne, six step-grandchildren, special friends: Andy Davis, Keith Stewart & Rhoda Souder also a host of other relatives & friends survive. Funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church, Hyden KY., with Rev. Ted Couch & Rev. Randy Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the Gillie Osborne Family Cemetery at Thousandsticks, Ky. The following will serve as pallbearers: Phyllis Begley, Doug Stevens, Jamie "Goob" Osborne, Jerry Woods, Ray Napier, Stephen Griffie, Brian Hacker & Golden Osborne, Jr. Visitation will begin on Friday September 21, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. at the Church until time of funeral hour on Sunday.
