The Obituary for Mrs. Maltie B. Woods The Officiating Minister: Pastor Wayne Bowling Mrs. Maltie B. Woods was born on May 6, 1924 in Bowlingtown, KY and passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, KY. She was the Daughter of the late Wollery "Dutch" Bowling and the late Nannie Couch Bowling. By occupation Maltie was a retired Salesclerk from Keens 5&10 Variety Store. She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church of Hyden, KY and had been a lifelong resident of Leslie County. Maltie enjoyed crocheting as a hobby and spending time with her family. She was Preceded in Death by: Her Parents: Woolery and Nannie Bowling; Husband: W. McKinley Woods; Grandson: Keith Couch; Great Grandson: Willie Kile; Brothers: Fred, Garrett and Lester Bowling. Maltie leaves surviving the following relatives: Son: Bill Woods & Juanita of Indianapolis, IN; Daughters: Kathleen Kile of New Palestine, IN and Betty Helen Couch & Kermit of Hyden, KY; Sisters: Thelma Means & Benny, Maureen Campbell, Dorothy Willis & Bill, Nannie Jean Baker all of Indianapolis, IN and Dolly Mae Campbell of Seymour, IN. Also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Maltie B. Woods will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday - May 5, 2012 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wayne Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Woods Family Cemetery at Hyden, Kentucky.
