The Obituary of Mr. Leonard Roberts Officiating Minister: Pastor Wayne Bowling Leonard Roberts, 79, of Hyden, Ky., passed away, Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center. Leonard was the Son of the late Joe and Daisy Roberts. By occupation Leonard was a retired State Highway Engineering Dept. worker and had been a lifelong resident of Leslie County. Leonard was affiliated with the Hyden Church of God. He enjoyed his dog Danger and spending time with his family. Leonard was a avid U.K. Sports fan, he enjoyed shooting pocket billiards, horse racing and especially U.K. Basketball. He was Preceded in Death by his: Parents: Joe & Daisy Witt Roberts; Paternal Grandparents; Mack & Nannie Roberts; Maternal Grandparents: Leonard & Laura Witt; Daughter-In-Law: Velma Roberts and a host of aunts and uncles. Leonard leaves surviving the following relatives: Mother of Children: Helen Burns Elvington of Woodbury, TN.; Son: Joe Ray Roberts & (Carmen) of Hyden, KY.; Daughters: Lesia Kay Lovvorn & (Carlos) of Bell Buckle, TN and Theresa Joseph Dunn of Hyden, KY.; Grandchildren: Christopher Joseph Roberts, Richard Kyle Roberts & (Michelle), Jamie Leonard Couch & (Dusty), Chase Lovvorn and Matthew Jessen Joseph; 4 Great Grandchildren: Vanessa Roberts, Jackson Roberts, Waylon Leonard Roberts and Lantz Ty Crawford; Special Friends: Billy Joe Napier, Vernon "Bull" Sizemore & (Ann Sizemore). Funeral services for Mr. Leonard Roberts will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. - Wednesday - May 8, 2013 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Joe & Daisy Roberts Cemetery at Hyden, KY. with the following Pallbearers: Chris Roberts, Kyle Roberts, Jamie Leonard Couch, Chase Lovvorn, Matthew Joseph, Carlos Lovvorn, Billy Joe Napier, and Fred Roberts.
