The obituary of Mrs. Ora Osborne Woods Officiating Ministers: Rev. Jerry Holland, Rev. James Bowling, Jr. & Rev. Jamie Couch Mrs. Ora Osborne Woods born March 20, 1921 and departed this life on February 19, 2010 at her residence at the age of 88 years. She was born at Thousandsticks, Kentucky the daughter of the late William "Will" Osborne and the late Sophia Sizemore Osborne. By occupation she was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, Kentucky. Mrs. Ora Woods was a member of Jim Sizemore's Church at Bear Branch, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Sophia Osborne; her loving husband whom she married August 15, 1948: Mr. Wallace Woods; one daughter: Ann Elizabeth Jones; one son: Raymond Salyers; two grandsons: E.C. Salyers and Dennis Collins. She is also preceded in death by a host of her brothers and sisters. Mrs. Ora Osborne Woods leaves surviving the following relatives: five sons: Roscoe Salyers of Bear Branch, KY., John Henry Salyers of Bear Branch, KY., Billy Ray Salyers & Wilma of Hyden, KY., Herbert Woods, Jr. & Sophia of Manchester, KY., Estill Lee Woods & Carol Sue of Stinnett, KY.; six daughters: Ruth Collins & Clyde of Hyden, KY., Janie Collins & James Herald of Dayton, OH., Margaret Smallwood & Virgil of Bear Branch, KY., Alice Brown & Carl of Oneida, KY., Francine Caldwell & Boone of Hyden, KY., Selina Ruth Smallwood of Hyden, KY.; one daughter-in-law: Leda Salyers, one brother: Curt Osborne of London, KY. Mrs. Ora Woods is also survived by 38 Grandchildren, 63 Great Grandchildren, & 26 Great Great Grandchildren and a host of other treasured relatives and friends. Funeral services for Ora Osborne Woods will be conducted on Monday - Feb. 22, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Jim Sizemore Church at Bear Branch, KY. Burial will follow the funeral at the Jones Family Cemetery at Bear Branch, KY. Pallbearers will serve as follows: Adam Woods, Tracey Smallwood, Brian Couch & Jonathon Brown. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday beginning at 6:00 P.M., all day Sunday, and until Monday at the time of funeral at 1:00 P.M.
